Root Beer Love

In a recent turn of events:

Short Story:
My taste about root beer has completely altered.

Long Story:
In the past, I always hated root beer. It could only be tolerated in a root beer float - until I realized I could make a float with any kind of soda.
This week, we had a few root beer sodas left over in the refer and Ivanna decided to drink one with brekkie. I asked if I could try it - and what do you know!- ended up liking it. Tastes do change! Is it time to try some other hated food and drink?

Hey,

I like root beer too. I enjoy trying the gourmet bottled brands. But, I avoid the ones that contain high fructose corn syrup. Off the top of my head, I'd say I really like Dad's Root Beer. The local brand Sparky's is worth a try as well. I've been wanting to try Virgil's Nutmeg Root Beer. The Zevia brand has an all natural ginger root beer sweetened with Stevia that I'd also like to try.

Glad to hear it! Funny how things change.

Personally, I'm a little nervous now around any root beer that doesn't have high-fructose corn syrup; after my Grass Valley experience (if you haven't seen already, it's Saturday, scroll down).

Osanna, You will be mighty proud to know I ate ALL my salad last night at the Sebourn's house. The Machamer's had brought it... it was delicious with blackberries, shallots, candied pecans and GOAT CHEESE!!!! After dinner, I told Dave, "I must be growing up, I finished my salad and it was... good!"(or the dressing was so yummy, it helped disguise the goaty flavor...)
Happy New Year!!
